:: house tour ::

i recently took some shots of the house and thought i would share! the next project is to redo all of the landscaping (oh joy) so i will be sure to document. i'm an outdoorsy person in that i like drinking cocktails on patios, but i'll be able to get my creative juices flowing by choosing low maintenance shrubs as possible while still making it look pretty.

and for some of my favorite spots for homey things: homegoods, anthropologie, west elm, serena and lily, etsy, crate and barrel, ikea, restoration hardware...

platform beds are nice for smaller rooms.
added bonus: storage drawers underneath.
table lamps: cb2, night stands/bed: boston interiors, oar: homegoods

perfume bottles are both feminine and pretty... why not leave them out?

can't go wrong with mirrors, especially in smaller rooms.
use them to reflect windows and doorways.

Feature Friday :: Polka Dots + Pink ::

Polka dots are huge right now... there is no doubt about that. Here is my own version with a throw jacket and hot pink!

I'm headed to NYC for the Christian Siriano fashion show this weekend thanks to my buddy Courtney so I hope to report back with some fashion inspiration and photos. Pumped!

Feature Friday ::Peplum and Coral::

There are only so many days left to wear the beloved linen (in New England anyway...) so I decided to feature a flashy summer color (coral... one of my faves!!), with a peplum style top that is here to stay for a while longer. Summer whites are still allowed throughout the year as far as I'm concerned so don't put them away just yet. The peplum also looks polished with a pencil skirt or cropped black pant and heels.

I will be doing a fashion feature every Friday and plan on getting some new and fabulous faces up here so be sure to check back! Waa hoooo!
