Engagement Sesh: Emily & Isaiah

I had a great time photographing Emily and Isaiah for their engagement shoot. What started off as a beautiful day in Rhode Island soon became a monsoon. As the photos progress the sky gets darker, and darker... and darker. We made the best of it, and I can't help but love the ducky umbrella. They are marvelous and we can't wait for their wedding (a photo is being used for their save the dates!). Thank you mother nature for the rain... and thank you Emily and Isaiah for the beer :)

house project!

we are getting there with our bathroom reno! alex did a fantastic job with the tile... i always enjoy seeing how tile looks once it is all laid out, especially if it is an intricate pattern. i have seen some serious back splashes that have just blown my mind.

i will post finished photos, but in the meantime, check it out... do you like the tile I chose?

Custom stationary for Julia & Steve!

These two are about to get married and I thought, what a better gift than to design stationary for them! I used font similar to what she chose for her wedding invitations (photos soon to come of those!) and lined envelopes with a fun floral design (liners are another favorite of hers). Enjoy!

my latest obsession

I have been very busy working on wedding invitations (soon to post!), but in the meantime... how pretty is this bag? Now to find an excuse to get one...? This one is my favorite, but visit here to read up about the two founders and to check out some other beauties. Love, love, love.

Wedding Website

and the final design is...

Blue Bell envelope with a liner made from %100 lokta fiber; traditional paper of Nepal. The bean design on the card brings out the beauty in the liner. Finished with monogram detail on both the card and back flap of the envelope with a return address. Don't you want to get one of these lovelies in the mail? Custom Stationary Design

I am currently in the process of designing some custom stationary for Jackie. Luckily her and her hubby have the same initials so I chose to incorporate "JWR" in the design. She loves yellow, so that must be included as well! I found an envelope liner that I loved so I used that as inspiration. Here are a few of the contestants, but I will show the final in my next post!

Remember... custom stationary can make a great gift for a new couple or friend. How lovely to get a pretty note in your mailbox! It is a great way to reflect your creative side...

Business Identity for Pink Hydrangea Shop

Developing a strong business identity is one of my favorite parts of being a designer. I love bringing a vision to life, whether it be the first stages of a start-up or bringing some life back into a tired logo. I had such a great time working with Michelle, owner of Pink Hydrangea Shop. She is so full of life and when I asked her if she had any colors in mind she was quick to answer, "hot pink"!
