Lilly Pulitzer Inspired Stationary

I recently designed a stationary set for Michelle as a thank you for doing such a great job with a recent wedding invitation project (more to come on that later!)... I have been enjoying the nice weather so much that I wanted to encorporate the bright and cheery colors of spring! This stationary is also available in my etsy shop for purchase and customization if you are interested! Pura vida, K

One-of-a-kind Crunchy Trible Necklaces... Interested?

Make a statement with these hippie-meets-tribal one-of-a-kind necklaces from Growing Jewelry. They are made with vibrant Perler beads and hand-formed salt stones. The are handmade in Austin, Texas by Christy Curcuru who studied painting and sculpture at the Rhode Island School of Design. I like her designs because they are playful and uncommon... here are a few of my faves. You can find more here.

Music Monday... A Must Download

Take a listen to this fantastic tune I have been playing non stop today after downloading it on iTunes from bed this morning. I am having a little Jamaican fever as Michael and I are heading there about a week from now for a wedding... in need of some really good reggae (aside from the tried and true Marley, Spearhead, UB40 and the like)... I stumbled on J Boog. Not sure how I feel about the name... or the backyard camera work, but bottom line... the song is feel good and catchy and the scenery of Hawaii is not bad either. My favorite part is the clip in front of the cars with the awkward dance party in the background. Hope you guys are having a good start to the week... enjoy!

Cottage Chic Save the Dates for Michelle and Will

I recently did Save the Date postcards for Michelle and Will in Sydney! She wanted a vintage feel with feminine pink accents. They had such great photo options, we had to use two! I did learn something new... they reverse their dates down under. So does that make it right, or wrong... or just different? We'll go with that. Kind of like driving on the wrong side of the street in England. Or is it right to drive on the left? Now I'm just confusing myself.

Either way, check these out! ...and have a g'day... mate. Thanks Michelle!

A twist to the Chevron... and something HILARIOUS.

Pearl in San Diego just had me do this special color combo for her, and I am diggin' it!

If you are interested in purchasing an existing design, or customizing one for yourself, visit my etsy shop here.

Another thing I am loving this morning, THIS VIDEO. My friend Laura just sent it to me a couple days ago and I can't stop watching it. Do you know someone like Penelope?

Paper Krush Featured on The Vault!

via The Vault

When I designed this custom stationary for Gaby I had NO IDEA she had incredible style and her own jewelry shop on Etsy! She posted a super sweet shout out on her blog here. I have now added her blog to my daily list of procrastination to get fashion inspiration, make-up ideas and more!

...and OF COURSE I had to buy one of her hand crafted necklaces! It arrived in the most precious packaging and the multi layered piece is a great new addition. Grab something pretty at her shop... it feels good to support small business! Thanks Gaby!

Bringing the backpack... back!

I am not sure why the backpack isn't more popular. Out of any possible means of holding items, backpacks make the most sense by far. Even weight distribution, hands free, organization, so much room for fun activites... the list goes on. The fanny version of the pack is also another good option that seems to come in and out of style (I will spot a Louis fanny on occasion).

Although none of these top by speaker backpack, they come close... and are definitely more stylish.

1. minty fresh backpack, find here.   2. khaki backpack   3. nautical backpack find here
4. bohemian love   5. leather version, fossil   6. lovely slouch

Blue Suede Shoes

Watching the Today show this morning has made me adore Prince Harry more than ever before... If you know me, one shortcut to my heart is being a good dancer (something he recently did in Jamaica recently with Bob Marley's widow no less), the other is blue suede shoes. I am convinced no one can rock them quite like him...
