Looking forward to...

d.RA will be launching their clothing line soon, and I am excited to see what they come up with. You can visit the site here to get a glimpse of what is to come. As a designer, I like the overall vibe of the line and what is reflected through the site design.

This independent line created by Diana Ra is all about "effortless layering and fusing of both basic and novelty pieces". I like the idea of this because I am a strong believer in keeping a relaxed style, but still incorporating individual taste and personality by adding what I like to call an "understated statement"... keeping the balance of wearing something that reflects creativity while keeping it classically timeless.

It's Thursday... Give Back!

Haskell wants one!

The only thing I love more than dancing and nutella is my pup, Haskell. Check out Baxter and Birdie for modern, eco friendly pet products. All collars and leashes are one-of-a-kind using chic, up-cycled factory overstock fabric and scraps... and they are made in the USA!

The best part? Baxter and Birdie give back to the community through their "Buy One, Feed One" campaign. Every product you purchase feeds one shelter animal in need for one week... amaze.

Check out their site here... and remember... they only make a couple of each, so if you see a collar or leash that strikes your fancy, get it now! AND feel good about it.

What I'm listening to right now...

I have loved Matt Nathanson since the first time I heard "Laid"... from then on, Pat and I would sing it on a regular basis whenever we had gigs. I think it was the main tune for American Pie, was it not? Oh Stiffler.

Here is my new favorite, Faster... dare I say I heard it playing on The Bachelorette the other night? Ah, well. In the meantime, if you need a little procrastination that will make you feel good, check out his video. The lyrics are bubbly and he paints a beautiful happy picture in my head. He is also one of the few men that can rock a nose ring. Not that I necessarily love piercings on guys, but he can't really do wrong.

Anyway... more listening, less typing. Cheers!

More than just a throw pillow...

They are a work of art. As we all know, I am a huge fan of throw pillows. They are the best way to fit my color and personality into my decor. I would love to switch my couch out every season depending on my mood, but who has the money for that? My husband just thinks they are another thing to move out of his way, but to me, they finish a room. These hand dyed linen pillows are at the top of my list. Each has its own unique watercolor variation. If you are really looking to add some energy to a tired couch, I am loving the poppy. It is bright, but still not overwhelming because of the gradient. Check out more of Hettle on their site here.

Check out my fave new Etsy shop: STRAWS POINT

I recently did the branding for a beautiful new etsy shop, Straws Point. The lovely lady behind the specialty hanger boutique, Jackie, is excited to start the wedding season with new and fresh ideas for showing off your wedding duds.

Straws Point branding designed by KRUSHgraphics

She crafts each hanger by hand with custom and personalized lettering. They are a fantastic shower gift idea for the bride in your life, or give them to your bridesmaids as a personal gift to remind them of the special day you shared! Your gown will look stunning draped over one of these babies!

Check out her shop here... and spread the word! New items will be added so check back often! Hangers made with love... support small, support local!

Dress up your table...

I know it's a little early to be busting out seersucker, but I couldn't pass these up. Various colors to choose from, but I think my favorite is the natural with bubble gum. Napkins designed by Kim Seybert... you can check out more of her designs here.

Kitchen Update... Cabinets are going in!

Thanks mom and dad for your hard work this past week! I am lucky to have some handy guys in my fam :)

This week: painting, wall and base cabinets installed, appliances arrive, gas, heating (an entire day spent finding parts) and some plumbing work.

Recessed lighting added (thank you david and susan!)... and they have a dimmer, YES!

Michael and my dad working on hanging the cabinets
Our badass stove.
...and fridge. Lots of cheese will be stored.
Martie loves it!
Thank god they are in charge of the math.
More cabinets up!
The stove will go here with the microwave suspended over.
Fridge has a home on the left and sink will be added to the right.
Here is what the doors/pulls will look like!

Base cabinets are added...

...and I get a little lovin' too.
